I think that if me stating my feelings on this is parasocial, you making the post in the first place, not being friends with Hasan, is also parasocial. Unless we’re both talking about the treatment of dogs irrelevant to Hasan. You did mention Hasan, though, so I think it’s about him.

I disagree w Hasan about a lot. I think he's kind of a Lib and puts way too much faith in the Democratic Party. I also just don't think that it's very weird to yell at your dog, sometimes. I think it's profoundly human. I only want to respond bc I don't take kindly to being called parasocial.

I think it can simultaneously be true that Hasan is angrier than the average person (who wouldn't be, dealing with Chat for 8 hours a day, every day) and that we can't distill his relationship with Kaya (that's her name) to a few seconds of him whining (never yelling) at her in that 8 hour stream.

Maybe so! It's probably not good to snap at an animal and it's probably not good to snap at a human. But people get emotional and when your dog is barking at 3AM and you have work the next morning, I think a lot of people aren't being as rational as you, Navy.
