You can work out your yardage by working out how long each go round your niddy noddy is (mine is 1.5 metres) counting your times around and then calculating it (I multiply by 1.5).

Today's urban bird is this swan and cygnet, floating on Albert Park Lake. I could see the city skyline, but I thought it was more important to get a good view of the baby swan, who was swimming along behind their parent learning how to swan.
