Yeah, I think the New Edition gets it just right—all of Morrison’s stuff, nothing else. I didn’t read the Legion of 3 Worlds stuff and might do so in a week or so but I was really glad it wasn’t in there.

Anyway.

I can't speak to the Absolute Editions or the Omnibus or anything—but don't settle for anything less than the Final Crisis (New Edition) trade.

It's kind of a majestic read, and maybe even a necessary one in these times, alas (5/end)

And when it's there, it's there for effect.

Additionally, reading it after reading Multiversity is a huge bonus—the throughline in Multiversity is thematically mirrored in Final Crisis enough that FC feels almost like a sequel? But certainly a companion piece. (4/?)
