ANNOUNCEMENT: FLARE is opening to a THEMED mini issue from April 1st to April 4th, end of day on the theme of "medication." Feel free to be creative with this theme. We've listed some things we'd love to see, but surprise us! Informing you now since this is a short sub call!
psst...we might announce our April issue's theme on Sunday! Get ready! π₯
Also, congrats to the kiddo!
I'm so glad you were able to enjoy it!!
Reading for a friend makes me want to write. It's so sweet when someone's creativity sparks the happy desire to write too. Like when you're a kid and you go out to play and see your friend having fun so you want to have fun too.

You know, I was worried he was forcing the cats to write his story, now I don't know what to think any more!!
Are you on tick tock? Want to volunteer with us?
πππππ Has your head been up in space recently? π If you need someone to read...πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ!! Also, we can exchange too because I've been thinking about having you give mine a read, but you don't need to because I already sent mine rocketing through the internet.
congrats!
That sucks! But also, my brain was stuck in busy mode and I returned to the weird from my family and was gonna respond like I would with my dad or sister, but then I realized, maybe not
...
I've submitted something to @fullmoodmag.bsky.social; I'm working on something to possibly submit @epistemiclit.bsky.social; and my friends that read them said pretty thingsπ₯°. Trying to take in the little things and savor them.
One piece in again and f*ck. I remember mentions of separation and talks of life being just too hard. π« glad you keep going forward!!
Please get to know @barlowadams.bsky.social!

New painting's all done. Took 3 tries to get it out of my head, since I am severely out of practice with larger pieces (this is 9x22in).

I'm working on something, but it's still a little disjointed. Even if I get nothing in, I've been telling all the amazing writers I know who truly have an insatiable desire to justice whether it's for others or themselves!
I'm setting up a site for doing English consulting. It doesn't really overlap with my fiction writing, but I'm excited to be working on presentations and articles again with non-native English speakers. I used to work as a contractor for a biotech company and missed learning and teaching.
*coughs in momentarily proud author* I've submitted something.
Sometimes writing requires buddies!
π€£ I had to pause what I was listening to because I laughed so loud!
Absolutely!! I didn't want you to keep all that beautiful trauma tucked away when it's so amazingly crafted. I marvel at your wonderfully worded exposes of the human soul and know that there's real weight to them. I want to help share the balm to wounded readers near and far.
is it angry and possibly righteous in its rage? @epistemiclit.bsky.social might have space or maybe you might have something else to bless them with...
I have no idea, but I have the same problem. I wonder if it has something to the way gluten seems denser.

I'm up to something, but it may be my usual.
