we've got a nice drizzle today, so I baked some brownies. (high if only 72°f)
but no thunderstorms. sometimes I miss them...

My photo shows a small Proto-Corinthian clay aryballos (perfumed-oil container) in the shape of an owl with a pouring hole in the tail. Height 5 cm, Width 6.4 cm. The owl is perched with its tail to the left and head to the right. It leans slightly forwards with head turned so that its large eyes face the viewer. The owl’s chest is painted black. The eyes and plummage are intricately detailed in black on a yellowy-cream slip. Three rows of feathers in the wing plumage are painted alternately in red and black. Dated c. 640 BC

I love the way you write.
I don't know how to describe it, but it is very easy for my brain damage to follow along (even if I lose my place). You also are great at making me feel smarter than I probably am. (The opposite of when a writer is condescending and/or makes the reader feel stupid.)

I'm still fairly new to my ASD dx but it's been really helpful to now be able to be like "sorry for the autism" instead of just "sorry I don't know why I'm like this." I'm still learning all the ways it affects me, but it's been amazing to be able to start learning targeted coping mechanisms etc

oh shit. this happens to me and I've never put the pieces together until you pointed this out.

I absolutely get autism overload/burnout from my own inner voice!

I have so many things that trigger anxiety/panic attacks/DoomBrain that it's often hard for me to nail down what is what.

but I don't see why DoomBrain couldn't happen "on it's own" with GI stuff, just like it can happen with any other MCAS symptom?

I don't see why not?

personally I get hives with all of my MCAS everything (eg: hives + GI, hives + airway swelling, etc) but I certainly get DoomBrain with hives. sometimes DoomBrain precedes the hives, so I get "something terrible is about to happen" and then the hives show up late to the party

our cat does this too. she's absolutely obsessed with knocking all the shoes over/out of the way/etc. I've never had a cat so into being a shoe menace before

I have had a very rough [however many hours 4pm-1pm is] and all I want is a nutritious food (that I'm not allergic to) to appear in front of me to eat - without having to make a single decision.

shout out to my phone battery that started today's six hours at the hospital at 41% and still has 22% left, despite me being bored out of my skull and on it kinda nonstop

I don't know who in hospital demographics needs to know this: but if you offer Armenian as a preferred language, you should include Armenian as an ethnicity!

(tho they did have Iranian, which is closer than a lot of other places I've had to check off instead)

(also I think we're still technically under threat till like 5pm or some shit, but the probability of anything truly threatening is negligible)

I agree. and granted one saw a rise of 0.5inch - but like, it still counts when you have to go through everything. (predicted was 2.5feet)
(our predicted today is/was? 1-3meters) (although it looks like we won't get anywhere close to that, if at all, but *throws hands in the air* math or some shit)
