We got our new front door installed today. Unfortunately, the door was ordered incorrectly. It is a 6" jamb instead of a 4" jamb. There's a bunch extra sticking out inside the house.

So, it has been temporarily installed and the correct frame (or entire door) ordered.

That is disappointing.

Being out of the state for several months takes some effort to coordinate. Coming back home and getting everything back up-and-running normally again takes an equal amount of effort.

Unexpected home project - the flapper in our downstairs 1/2 bath needs to be replaced from lack of use, apparently.

I separated the bottles into "Buffalo Trace" distillery, and the other distilleries.

It was a good Winter of hunting!

#Bourbon hunting in OK, and I found a store with *CASES* of #WellerSpecialReserve (in 750ml, 1 L, and 1.75 L sizes) for sale.

The price was fantastic, so I called several friends and asked if anyone wanted in.

I bought a case of 1 liter bottles (12 bottles) to share between myself and the group.

We're on the journey home, traveling thru NM, TX and OK, and spending an extra day in Tulsa so my wife can shop at a favorite cross-stitch store.

Which means that I'll have a day to #BourbonHunt in Tulsa too! I have no idea what the #Bourbon situation is here.

My wife and I went out on the motorcycle this morning so I could push over the 500-mile mark on our trip to AZ. This brings the total miles ridden this Winter to 1,537.

All-in-all, that's a pretty good Winter!

We were treated to a beautiful sunset on our last night in AZ too.

That has been my thought for a long time too.

It was a cool 8:30 a.m. start to the motorcycle lunch ride today, but finished around 87° as I was headed to home base in mid-afternoon.

I put about 150 miles on the bike today.

In AZ, I finally was able to score a bottle of George T Stagg #Bourbon, from the #BuffaloTrace #BTAC collection. It is the Hazmat bottle from 2025 (142.8º).

I paid what enthusiasts would consider a decent price for this unicorn bottle, but what non-bourbon people might consider nuts.

We got to follow Jed Clampett home the other day.

It seemed to be secured well, as it didn’t sway at all when he turned corners. The moving pile had to be 11’ or 12’ high.

We have landed in Arizona!

Cooler weather here tomorrow, but warming up to the 80’s on Sunday and next week.

An early morning windshield repair, and we're rolling down the road.

There were two cracks to fix. A huge one with a chuck of glass missing, and a hairline crack. We're trying to maintain structural integrity...

An overnight stay in Pecos, TX tonight. We'll be in Casa Grande, AZ tomorrow.

Well, just crossed over the Texas state line, and a semi with a dirty flatbed trailer threw a huge rock, and now I have a gigantic rock chip in the windshield.

Shit.

A lot of times they sit on the bottom shelf gathering dust, and you can buy them for a great price.

A friend and I spent the afternoon riding motorcycles yesterday - after replacing the battery on his brand new Harley. 😡

I also ran across a less-common, but good “daily drinker” bottle that I search for when bourbon hunting Wauchula, FL. Yay!
