Most timelines up to now have it at 10,000 to 12,000 years … we’ve hypothesized use started earlier and now have studies to back that up.

This is part of why I think use goes back to 38,000 or even 50,000 years ago, it would have started very soon after people arrived where cannabis was. They would have been exploring all the plants that were new to them and cannabis is very useful.
