The year enshittification became undeniable | BetaKit So many tech systems that we interact with in our daily lives seem to have degraded beyond usability, or, as Cory Doctorow puts it, enshittified.

"Our digital lives are now gated in a way that makes it harder or more expensive for us to reach the information weโ€™re looking for...

The internet no longer feels like a single, heterogeneous place. Instead, we spend our time bouncing between decaying platforms."

When access to death is faster than access to care How one case is raising uncomfortable questions around terminal care and the use of psychedelics in Canada

It took 11 months for Pete Pearson to be denied legal access to psychedelic-assisted therapy by Health Canada.
But it only took a few weeks for him to be approved for MAID.
Advocates like @therapsil.bsky.social say that's not right.

This is part of why I think use goes back to 38,000 or even 50,000 years ago, it would have started very soon after people arrived where cannabis was. They would have been exploring all the plants that were new to them and cannabis is very useful.
