Summer pitch work is now underway at London's oldest football ground, the Old Spotted Dog.

First step is levelling, then it's reseeding, so the pitch is out of bounds until mid July when the home pre-season friendlies will begin.

Contractors Telemac have now finished the roof and internal works will begin next week.

The timber frame has been raised, next up will be the roof and then internal works shortly after.

I think our biggest crowd was around 1,153 but that was an all day, double-header against @fcunitedmcr.bsky.social.

We’re fan-run, so the capacity we set is as much about how many volunteers we have available as it is the space and facilities.

We've temporarily lost a bit of space due to the toilet block building work, so if we hit 850 spectators we will have hit capacity and will need to operate on a one-in, one-out basis.

So get here early!

Bike parking space is very limited inside the ground this weekend due to the building work on the extra toilet block.

If you can, please find a spot to park your bike before arriving at the @oldspotteddog.bsky.social, or in the alleyway.
