Yesterday seemed like a great day for a 5-hr drive during which we'd have little cell service. 😉 And now we are IN THE MOUNTAINS! I'm trying hard to ignore the mess we're in and to find joy in life. That might seem selfish, but I'm still feeling so powerless. So, I'm going to be selfish for a while.

I do wonder how long after one gets Covid we should get another vax. I had it in June. Not sure when I should get a booster.

...a good replacement for Facebook. It's an EXCELLENT replacement for Xitter - it works pretty much exactly the same, only without the fascists and right-wing-nut-jobs! But Xitter was never a good "social media" the way FB is.

I would love to leave FB, but I have too many friends and family...

I haven't posted here on Blue Sky in a while. I jumped onboard along with millions of others after the Orange Fuhrer won and we all abandoned Xitter for here. I've been hanging back to see how things go.

And now, many people say they are leaving FB for Blue Sky. Unfortunately this is not...

He was SO right! I've tried more times than I can count to have rational conversations with MAGAts. It's just not possible. The more irrefutable, undeniable facts you show them, the deeper they dig in. Truth no longer exists in their world. I gave up long ago.

As much as I am loving Bluesky, celebrity impersonation accounts are a problem. I found multiple fake accounts for Jon Cryer when I was searching for him, and I reported all the fake ones and they are still active. 😥 I hope they deal with this issue soon.

I tried Threads. It didn't work for me. The algo that fed my feed didn't make sense. The flow was not like X, FB or Insta, so it felt alien. I rarely saw posts from the people I follow.

Bluesky is working EXACTLY the way Twitter used to work before the Space Nazi...without the bigots and trolls. ❤️

Oh man. 😥 Another part of my youth gone. I grew up in CT, and we used to drive up to Alice's Restaurant in Stockbridge regularly up until it closed in '79. And of course it's not Thanksgiving unless we listen to the entire song. Twice.

I love not having to worry about my posts being invaded by right-wing asshats.

And I love that on the rare occasion it does happen, we can block them and then their rude comment can't be seen by ANYONE. Unlike "that other place" where their hateful comments are still visible to others.
