Two Lycoming County hospitals 'may not provide' emergency contraception Williamsport, Pa. — Two hospitals in Lycoming County have notified the Pa. Department of Health (DoH) that they may not provide emergency contraception for moral or religious beliefs.

Emergency contraception is a large dose of birth control taken to prevent pregnancy, and is an essential piece of care for survivors of rape.

If these hospitals don't understand that, we wouldn't trust them for ANY medical care.
