Basically, every time I rehearsed I found things that I could add or clarify to make it more meaningful.

I have been writing my slides for months now, and I'm still finding things to improve and change. However, I think I'm now in a good place. A few weeks from the conf tho ahhaha

For private companies, it is also terrible. Sometimes I need to run a binary for work reasons, but the binary is not on the allow list, so it gets killed. But I can run any Python script, because the Python binary is allowed 🤷‍♂️

I know universities are different from private companies, but just to highlight that it's also common for companies to install this type of software (so for those reading, never use the computer from work for your personal stuff)

Looking the code: docs.rs/futures-util... It seems like by default it keeps pooling in a loop. While both FuturesOrdered and FuturesUnordered can only be polled when future generates wake-up notification

What leads to my understanding is the phrase: "You may want to look into using it or its counterpart FuturesUnordered directly." Which leads me to think both would have the good performance we are looking for

Ah, wait, my understanding is different from yours. The way I read: `join_all` does something not very optimized for a large number of futures. While FuturesUnordered and FuturesOrdered do handle large number of futures correctly / optimized

Thank you so much for that! I didn't know about it and I will pay attention to this when I need to use it (I actually wrote a code using it today!)

Just adding my understanding before this conversation: both structures are optimised for a large number of futures. (e.g. docs.rs/futures/late... && docs.rs/futures/late... say that)

Can you point me to where that is said in the documentation? (first time I'm hearing this, so I am curious of the motives as well)
