𝗔𝗗𝗔 𝗡𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲

"I am forty-nine, so approximately twenty years, give or take."

From the chest in his closet, Nolan pulls restraints, soldi metal padded with leather to make them more comfortable, a bullet vibrator, and a set of nipple clamps connected by a thin chain.

"I've been out of practice recently."

"No, it's not like that. Why don't you sit down on the bed and I'll show you some of what I have."

He opens his closet door and pulls out a chest of things -- he hasn't utilized most of this in a while, but he does have a collection.

"No, I heard plenty about the portrayal of BDSM relationships and decided I didn't want to be angry at a movie," Nolan responds with a grin. "But I have my own toys and things."

Nolan has gotten the feeling already that he's intertwining himself with someone a little . . . Out of his depth, all things considered. That she's rich doesn't change that impression.

Still, he leads the way to his bedroom, gesturing for her to step inside ahead of him.

"I hope you're not

"I'm glad you enjoyed it."

Nolan extends a hand to Dot, a smile playing at his lips.

"Why don't I show you to my bedroom?"

"I've never been one to engage in casual hookup culture. For me, this isn't necessarily that."

He finishes the wine in his glass and takes both glasses to set them aside.

"You enjoyed me dominating you?" he asks with a faint smile, tilting his head.

"You seem nervous," Nolan notes quietly. "You know that there's no obligation, right? If you're not interested in . . . Anything right now, we don't have to do anything."

"When I was much younger, I defended men like that from prison. It made me angry and hateful towards myself that I eventually joined the team trying to put those men in prison," Nolan responds, tone even, and then takes a small sip from his glass. "There's no enjoyment in being a danger to women."

Nolan smiles plaintively -- he understands why the circumstances might be a little strange, given the more intimate setting of his home as opposed to an office.

He pours them both a glass of red wine and extends one of the glasses for Dot to take.

"Thanks. I wish I spent more time here," Nolan responds with a quiet laugh. He doesn't have people over often, because he's often in his office and not here. "Would you like a glass of wine?"

Nolan is sitting at a table in the living room when she enters, but he glances up when he hears the door open and stands to greet her.

It's the first time he hasn't been in a suit, instead in a t-shirt and jeans.

"Hey. Come on in." He gestures inside, towards the couch.

📱Anytime. I'm pretty much done with trial prep already. This is them forcing me out of the office in the hopes I'll take a break before trial starts.

There is such a thing as too much coffee. I think I've hit it.

"When did it get so late?"

He's not good at being uncaring. It's not in his nature.

He's back to business as usual then, back to the meetings that he has scheduled.

"Are you involved in government agencies I should know about?" Nolan asks with a laugh. "I mean, I'm a lawyer, but..."

"Get home safe," Nolan murmurs. He pushes away from the desk for a moment and leans in to press a kiss to Dot's cheek, incredibly soft.

"I'll see you when you come back."

"It can be. . . whatever this is," Nolan says, and then glances at the clock on his desk. He's due in chambers with the judge for the murder he's trying in fifteen minutes.

"I have a meeting. I'm glad you came by today to talk about this with me, and I hope you. . . keep coming back."

"I don't own you. I don't want to. And I'm not going to stop you from seeing other people if that's what you want," Nolan answers simply. "You can come to my office, we can. . . indulge in whatever you want to do, and then you can go home. But we don't have to put a label on it."
