King's-funded multilingual education project pilots in The Gambia | King's College London
Dr Clyde Ancarnoβs multilingual education initiative, co-developed with Gambian educators and shaped by teacher practice in the classrooms, was received positively by stakeholders in The Gambia.
Dr Clyde Ancarno's multilingual teaching toolkit, which won the 2024 SSPP Impact Award, was recently delivered to trainee teachers in The Gambia. π€π
The toolkit bridges the gap between children's native languages used at home and The Gambia's English-only schooling system.

At the launch we discussed the socialisation of precarity, the 'good worker = good migrant' paradox, and tackled questions such as how we might socialise solidarity.
What was already a topical and essential event was evermore necessary provided the context of the papers.

The launch of The Precarious Migrant Worker coincided with the release of the UK government's white papers on immigration.
The speakers included at least three migrant workers. The staff running the event also included migrant workers without whom it wouldn't have been possible.
