Describe your ideal editor. I would love for someone to embrace the vibe from my stories #writingq #WritingCommunity

What a cool character!

01.03.2026 20:36 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Same. And I love reading about deeply flawed characters too

I’ve always been curious if I could write detective fiction of any sort well

01.03.2026 20:35 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Urban fantasy sounds cool

01.03.2026 20:34 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I love sci-fi

01.03.2026 20:33 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I would read this book in a heartbeat!

01.03.2026 20:32 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

There are a few. I know of some written by indigenous authors in the 1800s and early 1900s like Mourning Dove and John Rollin Ridge.

01.03.2026 20:31 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

That sounds really fun!

01.03.2026 20:29 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I wish I could write them all too, but some I couldn’t do well

01.03.2026 20:29 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That would be awesome!

01.03.2026 20:28 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Pulpy crime would be fun

01.03.2026 20:27 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That would be cool to write

01.03.2026 20:27 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

They have some similar traits or at least, it’s possible for them to

01.03.2026 20:26 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I had a similar teacher. A prof, actually. It sucks

01.03.2026 20:26 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Haha! I guess I overthought it all this time

01.03.2026 20:25 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I’m glad you overcame it!

01.03.2026 20:24 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I feel the same and also with music too

01.03.2026 20:24 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That makes sense

01.03.2026 20:23 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That makes sense

01.03.2026 20:22 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That’s all that matters. Just keep progressing

01.03.2026 20:22 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That’s one of the reason I’m practicing first-person with multiple characters. Then the voice has to be different

01.03.2026 20:21 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That makes sense. That’s cool you got feedback from agents btw

01.03.2026 20:20 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I know what you mean. I used to start sequential sentences like that. Now I always switch it up

01.03.2026 20:20 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I’m working on that last point you mentioned. I felt like my characters had superficial connections until most recently

01.03.2026 20:19 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That’s a great approach. I worry about getting everything right too. It’s counterproductive

01.03.2026 20:18 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

What’s one thing you’ve been focusing on that’s improved your writing? I started noticing how often I make generalizations. Being more precise about comparisons etc has helped so much #writingq #WritingCommunity

When did you first feel like a writer? Even though I started writing at 13, I didn’t feel like a writer until college #writingq #WritingCommunity
