Every 5 minutes I'm refreshing my "Department of Education Trump" searches on Google & Bluesky. I'm just waiting for the executive order. I'm currently in a SpEd classroom in a Title 1 school with free lunch for students. They would lose everything & it's stressing me out not knowing what's next.

I like the slow release, but I'm shy about starting new shows these days. Will it be canceled? How many years between seasons? I hate getting into a show only for it to become garbage later. So I'm often late to the "fandom", if one exists.

Fact Check me on this, but aren't a lot of our railways dedicated to freight? I think that's what makes it complicated for introducing passenger trains. But considering lax safety regulations for rail/train maintenance, it might not be any safer than flying. 🫠

May I ask what the give away is? I can normally clock AI but this one gave me trouble. The cats markings were unusual and it gave me pause, but I couldn't quite define what what was off.

I don't know. Too many people feel it's the only link to certain friends/family. Some say they need it for their business. And I get it but...we can create better options. A lot of reddit subs are banning meta/x links though.

There are too few stating their position as "pro" on the WA Senate Bill aiming to make members of clergy mandatory reporters.

I'm curious about Trumps comments in regard to Elon in PA, and how he knows those voting systems well and that's why they won PA. Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but election tampering has been an issue in the past, too.

Exjws who equate it to shunning need a reality check. I'm not inviting racists, homo/transphobes, misogynists, xenophobes, anti-science etc, into my home or giving them my time. We had to do that as a jw, but we can choose who we associate with now.

I've had my IG since 2013. It was hard to delete. But I figured the ppl who care about me will stay in touch other ways. It was a flashback to being jw; I stayed for ppl who wouldn't have stayed for me, ya know? I don’t have fomo any more. It's gone, and I'm fine.

I grew up in a religious community and was an avid reader. But I would often lie about library visits and books to "friends" who thought it was a waste of time. Insults like "know it all" and "nerd" were said to me. It's strange how having knowledge is viewed as a negative trait.

And yes, I was homeschooled largely for religious reasons and to lessen my exposure to "worldly influences". We avoided evolution, obviously, and my high school curriculum was not great despite being on campus once a week. I work in education now, and homeschooling makes me cringe.

But I do not advocate for it unless states get a lot more regulation and children have advocates outside of the family/church. It can get neglectful/abusive so quickly.

I was homeschooled. I had a much better experience than most as I had actual teachers making the curriculum and plenty of social events. I still had plenty of issues despite that (undiagnosed dyscalculia and probably adhd).
