Yeah, but is it actually Hello Sailor with neither McArtney or Brazier?

We saw a group claiming to be Dragon at WOMAD a few years ago. Not exactly the same group - not even close really - to the raunchy 1970s oerformances. My partner is a drummer from way back in the highly competitive muso days of bands. He says just one original Dragon member at WOMAD

We are somewhat of the Hello Sailor generation. Watching the news item about Homegrown with Hello Sailor appearing, Him Here sniffed and said, "How? By seance? "

There I was thinking that rice, by its very nature, is plant-based.

Yes, but if they just mothball the plant, there is still the eyesore and the risk the sites may be repurposed for another heavy industry.

Thanks. In the photo accompanying that article, I can pretty much mark where we live in the mid left. I hoped to outlast the gas industry in my 'hood. Now I think it is likely I will.

Though I am now told that the site may be held (as in mothballed) just in case it may be repurposed to hydrogen….

No. Cartmell only gives money to parties he thinks will promote his right wing interests.

Our baby kereru in the wisteria must be around 4 weeks old now, maybe 31 days and it does at least resemble a kereru now rather than a very small dinosaur.

The Post

Increasing talk here that Methanex will leave. Hip hip hooray. They use c45% of gas supply, pay almost no tax in this country, are a blight on the landscape, work to 1980s environmental standards - all for just 150 local jobs. www.thepost.co.nz/nz-news/3609...

FFS. And if the third enquiry fails to satisfy the anti vax conspiracists, what then?

This is why I will not subscribe to Stuff. I wrote for them for about 15 years and our local paper is in the Stuff stable but they are not trustworthy.

My contempt for Tama Potaka knows no bounds. He can fuck right off with a report he has clearly not even read.

I just heard Simeon Brown getting in first on RNZ to castgate Labour with his self-serving interpretation of the same report

I collect these names. All time winner remains L-r. Pronounced Le Dasher.

A young man on a serious assault charge, as I recall. Giving Ztanlees a bad name.

From the School of Kreatif Spelling, I give you Ztanlee as reported in the Waikato Times.

Beef cheeks, I agree. Also brisket roasts. Liver is still dog food for us.

Folks, we are eating further artisan corned beef this evening but supplies are running low on this beefie.

Still chuckling at Canberra daughter discussing corned beef I served on their recent visit and why it was so much nicer than their childhood memories. "Of course it is ARTISAN CORNED BEEF," she said. I laughed. She pointed out it was small batch homekill so by definition, artisan.

There are good reasons why all three of ours live there and why we are not encouraging any of them to move back here. All 3 would be considerably worse off here than if they stayed in Australia. In quality of life as well as material wealth and career options.

And Winston and Seymour both lead parties that are likely unelectable without them as leaders with a max potential vote of just 10 to 12% each - and that on a good day. Core vote maybe 6%?

Yes. That. And it means open warfare with their coalition partners. And clear divisions. Maybe even smashing the engraved stone of the coalition agreement which means an early election

Wishful thinking, that. One at a time would be progress.

I know. There need to be significant changes but those 4 out would be a start.

If Luxon goes, what are the chances that he will take the following down with him?
a) Willis
b) Simeon (because Health is A Mess)
c) Goldsmith (Luxon’s dismal Mr Fix-it who fixes nothing)
Cheerful thoughts.
