looks for her sister. The action is consistently outstanding. But what's maybe just as interesting as the martial arts or the compelling personal revenge story at the center is the emotional stakes at play with it's romance and cultural clashes (in more ways than one).
Ahead of it's release on March 17th, I watched THE FORBIDDEN CITY and it's the goods. Incredible action choreography by Trayan Milenov-Troy. The prolonged opening kitchen fight is a highlight as no utensil goes unused to stab, skin, or otherwise immolate as Xiao Mei (Yaxi Liu)...
