27.08.2025 22:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This might seem minor, but Iβm curious why *other* is emphasized that way. Maybe Iβm reading into it, but no one has more of a right to call DC home than anyone else. More housing serves the greater goodβand as it stands, TOPA is a major barrier to those building and investing in DC's future.

Less than ten years ago my marriage wasn't legal and every day I hear whispers of a future where that might be the case again. For those who came before me, for my family, and for those who will come after us, I celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and love in all it's forms.
12.06.2025 17:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Today, I celebrate Loving Day - the day in 1967 when the Supreme Court bent the moral arc of history a little bit closer to justice and made interracial marriage the law of the land.

08.04.2025 03:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Much like the notes of a jazz trumpet, the golden fins of the facade beckon and guide pedestrians up the street and into the building's warm, double height lobby.
We had a lot of fun with this one... but then again we always have a lot of fun πΎ
The main facade along 8th Street features a subtle inflection, yielding the massing of the new 8 story building to respectfully incorporate an existing structure created by Washington DC's first black registered architect, John A. Lankford.

In my familyβs neighborhood several new stations have been built in the last ten years - yet all of the roads have remained the same. βA single unmuffled scooter crossing Paris at night can wake as many as 10,000 people.β
We seriously underestimate the impact of vehicle noise on urban livability and health.

Millions of people fly a year without incident because of the world class expertise of the FAA. This is pretty horrifying.
