Just because you can hear parts moving and have good voltage at the right places, doesn't mean you can get good amps to the right place (the starter).

Lastly, unrelated, wear safety glasses on your eyes and not your head. They are eye protection, not head protection. They make hardhats for heads.

Today's lesson:

If you can't get an electric start gasoline engine to turn over but you can hear the starter/relay/solenoid trying to engage, check battery voltage. If that's good, try cleaning every electrical contact you can. Corrosion and loose contacts are a bitch......

I didn't see anything in the water you were draining and I didn't hear you mention it, but for the future sediment/debris can build up in the bottom of the tank and clog the drain hole. The buildup is what usually causes rumbling/popping noises.

Arkie using an orphan source to recharge his glow.

Orphan sources are very dangerous and should be kept away from. Many incidents have happened in the past and should be taken very seriously.

Question. Hypothetically, if I had a sufficiently long rod of infinite strength and rigidity and poked one end into a black hole, could I use the far end as an anchor point due to the time dilation of the end at the black hole or would this turn into the universe's biggest weed wacker?

I was so excited. For a few days it was only in the mid 60's but now the silly fireball in the sky says it needs to be in the 90's again. Can we go forward 7 billion years when its small and cold?

And here's a funny chart from experimental data to show the effect of fuel air ratio with diesel fuel. I know units are bad. Forgive me. It's from 1940.

So, it looks like if you have a naturally aspirated fuel rich diesel engine and add some combustible gas to the air intake, you can create a toxic exhaust due to high CO levels!

Maybe I'll actually post stuff here!
