If you look closely, you’ll also see Reed Timmer’s vehicle on the right shoulder. This video came moments after the tornado made contact with the Dominator and spun it off-course.

Stormchaser Brad Arnold captured this incredible shot of the drill-bit twister that struck northern Alabama earlier this evening.

Whoever decided to run a region-wide software update at the NWS the same day the impacted region deals with projected severe weather and legitimate potential for tornadoes needs to answer for this.

There aren’t enough NWS staffers to assess this morning’s tornado outbreak aftermath, and the SPC outlook for future severe weather is almost just as bad for tonight, tomorrow, and through the weekend.

The reckoning is not going to be fun. Soul crushing is probably the right word!

An extremely rare California tornado hit Scotts Valley — just 55 miles south of San Francisco — yesterday.

While it only received an EF1 rating, the twister managed to injure four people while snapping power lines like match sticks.

Have you ever seen a winter wonderland waterspout? Earlier today, the ICWR team captured a breathtaking waterspout just south of Buffalo, hovering over the cold, frigid Adam’s ale.

It’s Thanksgiving Eve, but I have to share this snapshot of the Soso, MS EF4 that struck on Easter Sunday. One of the houses in the damage path lost its windows, walls, and roof.

But the pound cake in the glass dish went untouched. Insanity.

Listen as the silence before the storm crescendos into whirling wind before being devoured. It quite literally sounds like a freight train crashing through concrete and metal.
