Microsoft to remove legacy drivers from Windows Update for security boost Microsoft has announced plans to periodically remove legacy drivers from the Windows Update catalog to mitigate security and compatibility risks.

Good step forward in response to a lot of the living off the land and vulnerable drivers used for malicious purposes: www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microso...

Trump said today he reduced egg prices by 59%. Surely he wouldn't lie or intentionally mislead people with bogus numbers.

Why is there no tech/hacker news coverage on Aedan Cullenโ€˜s amazing RP2350 OTP glitch work? Itโ€™s weird.

Demystifying Common Microcontroller Debug Protocols Many developers know that the answer to "How do I debug this microcontroller" is either "JTAG" or "SWD". But what does that mean, exactly...

Great video on microcontroller debug protocols.

The fact that it likely was a growler since they mentioned 2 crew members is probably pertinent as well.

As someone who lives in an area where the options are either Frys(Kroger) or Albertsons, it feels like a reasonable move. In no world would I as a consumer, have seen lower prices by allowing this merger.

Depends on what they are doing with it. No starch press has some great books that are domain specific, but my go-to for people has been "Automate the boring stuff with Python": nostarch.com/automate-bor...

I think that his strategy was excellent for Intel to become a leader in the fab space, but not for the company. It reminds me of people who have contempt for each-other and should have gotten a divorce years ago. When he doubled down on Intel being a fab and not a design business, that was his end.

So Pat Gelsinger got the boot from Intel today, and it's a fascinating study. His big failure was that he was so focused on the idea that Intels product was the ability to manufacture chips, that he wasn't able to pivot into what the market was actually wanting them to do: decouple fab and design.

Pretty awesome how much the RP2040 is getting used in the hardware security field. This is an example of a voltage glitch board on a RPi Pico. But there have been EMI glitching examples too. mkesenheimer.github.io/blog/pico-gl...

I would be more inclined to agree with you if their stance was more neutral on other topics. Across the board, nytimes has really put their thumb on the scale for ultra rightwing candidates. Itโ€™s really noticeable when you look at the Mazi Pilip articles covering the special election for the house.
