Decluttering a confusing world.

"Do we have hard evidence that immigrants don't adopt them?"
No we don't. Nor, do we have any evidence that immigrants do not want to adopt them either.
You complained that immigrants don't respect the norms of this country but here I see you doing the same thing with your lecturing.
What an ironic statement to make.
"We've brought in loads of people..."
What a way to broadcast that you have no idea how migration policy works.
"The U.S. is determined to crush two important pieces of Canadian legislation, the Online News Act and the Online Streaming Act. Their end game is clear"
I believe CanCon should be modeled after strategies used by Koreans and British. However, that should be determined by us not another country.
I suspect it is driven by his approval rating among males- especially young males.

"Carneyβs message scanned to many Canadians as bold and progressive β promising an activist government with a new spirit of nation-building, and co-operation toward the common good."
Interesting observation.
However, wait a year before making such an assessment not four months after an election.
Interesting. Carney is considering replacing the law that hasten Trudeau's demise.
I think their incentive for creators to be compensated for the written content like YouTube does for video content.
I just don't know if the Online News Act was the way to do it.
If the premiers want more responsibility for immigration, will they focus on integrating and ensuring the success of immigrants, or do they have other goals in mind?

Interesting. The question that Ontario Liberals should ponder is what Crombie is trying to do in order to make the party more appealing to Ontario's fast-growing racialized population.
You are telling me that shifting the blame made by our policies makers by scapegoating immigrants would fuel a rise of prejudice against them?

Hope Liberals like @stevenguilbeault.bsky.social understand that.
The NDP federal brand is weaker, especially in the West, than most of the provincial brands. The Liberals are vice versa.
Than again, we are also in a pre-writ situation where people might not be attuned to federal politics right now, so they might be parking their vote until the next election.
Well in Nanos case, they do not poll based on the leader name and they rely on the telephone to gather polling data.
There is the fact that we cannot see the breakdown unless you pay for. This might affect the Federal NDP number because we do not know where support is rising.
You might have never heard of the realignment theory where the working class voters shift to the parties seen on the right, while the affluent voters shift to the parties seen on the left.
So it is possible that some CPC voters are temporarily going back to the NDP until a new leader is selected.
Well, Abacus relies on an online panel for polling data, and its survey prompts do not include the party leader's name.
This might play into their polling results especially if we are in a pre-writ situation like right now.
Let me guess, Poilievre is trying to consolidate support for the upcoming leadership review.
There are much easier ways to achieve it without posturing to the fringe.
Crombie had more support from the OLP establishment. So, I think in reality the margin was closer than expected for her.

Definitely, there are thoughtful Tories like there are thoughtful Dippers.
However, I wonder if their voices are unheard because they are overshadowed by louder ones, such as Conservative alt-media.
"Rather, they must instead focus on crafting and presenting a uniquely Canadian brand of conservatism."
Interesting choice to break one of Napoleon's axioms, @supriya.bsky.social.
While, I don't disagree with it, I just don't know if the Tories understand this point as a key to their victory.
"growing Western separatist movement"
Shouldn't you use polling data to back it up @jptasker.bsky.social?
If you read the article, it still mentions this:
"said the savings will be separate from the federal governmentβs commitment during the spring election campaign to invest an additional $150 million in CBC/Radio-Canada."
and this is coming from someone critical by his government communications.
The Tories inability to acknowledge their flaws is not a bug but a feature of their culture.
For a party that tried to claim the mantle of Canadian Patriotism, prior to the trade war, this aspect seems so un-Canadian.
"We need to be building a media ecosystem in Canada that is trusted and reflects the full spectrum of views in this country"
True, but why only CBC?
A lot of issues that CBC faces are also within our private sector media. However you rarely hear any complaints from those outlets.
That and he is trying to win his leadership review without addressing any concerns with how his campaign was ran last election.
The only issue is that he risks doing serious damage to his party.
Well, the ChrΓ©tien years occurred during the dot-com bubble. That bubble helped mask any issues that we as a society are currently facing today.

Isn't this the reason leading to radicalization of young males in society β a feeling of lossing their identity? Not only just in the military?
