So the olive dye was waaaaay more brown-gray than green. However, I LOVE this result, and it's at the top of my "maybe it's for me not for sale" list. (It's for sale. For now.)

LA ComicCon was lovely. I sold a little yarn and a lot of soap. And my next yarn order should arrive tomorrow, so I can play with more colors!

I'm sharing a booth with some friends at LA ComicCon! We gotta finish set up in the morning, so this is the best pic I've got right now. I'll have my yarn and scarves and soaps for sale!

I just wanted to use up some leftover dye. The one on the left started with a gray base and got jewel tones. The one on the right was white and just did that. I hope I can do something like that on purpose next time!

The colors got a little lighter as they dried, but didn't shift towards what I expected. A friend pointed out that that is an extremely spruce color, so I'll just have to blame the sample swatch at the store for my expectations of green.

Strategicon had a fiber arts meet up today, and I guess some of them told the others about how I was selling yarn at my table. I adore the gaming community so much for how we support each other. Two days down, and two to go!

So I didn't sell all the yarn at LFG Con, and now I am contemplating if I want to make etsy listings for it or just hold on until my next show. Life is full of hard choices!

LFG Con was lovely, but I got home so tired. I'm looking forward to seeing it grow even better from an excellent first year!

I think this angle shows the range of color the best. I was surprised that the purple stayed so dark! The blue settled on something more bright than dark, but the real magic is where the fades reach each other.

I needed to use up some dye, so I decided to see what I would get. First pic is how I applied the colors, and second pic is where the color spread to by the time it was exhausted. The hardest part was not stirring.

The con crud got me. working very, very slowly on soap inventory. Oh, and that supply order finally arrived today.

Gamex was awesome, but my voice is gone. Tomorrow I shall make myself do inventory and get the etsy open again. Thank you to everyone who came by to see me!
