Honored to meet President Moetai Brotherson of French Polynesia ahead of #UNOC3. I congratulated & thanked him in person on what will be major announcements for the ocean, shared tomorrow. Through Pew Bertarelli Ocean Legacy, we've supported these efforts working with local stakeholders since 2013.
Sustainable ocean management — and even more so, ocean protection — can only be achieved through transparency. Too often, the ocean remains out of sight and out of mind — transparency helps bring it to light and drive action.
As the ocean community gathers for #UNOC2025, the urgency to deliver on #30x30 has never been clearer.
