i am still gonna try and do the good ol tradition of going back to traditional art so expect posts on here of it ig. idk what to tag it tho since its technically inktober but im not particularly fond of the label

its the month of drawing but also looking at my backlog of wips crying

i haven't had too much conflict in dealing with the legal side of things (thankfully) but i've yet to get a passport which is my biggest worry. having to be lowkey abt being trans again is 💢

running into a lot of problems just trying to get my name changed on ccs lmao. reasons why i waited so long to even contact them sigh...

LRP really got me to think beyond what i usually draw, which is not usually all cutesy and sweet LOL it was a nice pace but definitely took a lot more energy to try and execute it. i think i'm still pretty happy with it after sitting on it for a bit

i dont feel burned out since i felt like i learned stuff while making it but man...im out of energy! i wanna draw other stuff now!!

finally done with this giant art piece that im not rly happy with how it turned out but im calling it quits!! 🫠 even if its not appreciated or w/e i'm happy to just say its finished and i put effort into it 😭

9 almost 10 smth years later, i'm just barely recovering and finding that joy again. better late than never, but i could see the passion and excitement in getting better within these pieces. i'm just happy i stuck it out and didn't stop ✌️💛

unfortunately, around 2016-17, my mental health and friendships started to degrade rapidly and art wasn't giving me the joy it used to. i stopped drawing and stopped practicing and i mourn for that lost time

tbf it isn't the greatest LMAO these were based off some statues that enchanted me bc it was able to mimic fabric, but at the time i was still drawing anime and not really caring for shadow or proportions

i got curious and dug up some old traditional art i did for art classes i took when i was still in undergrad and wow...the potential was really there

i feel bad, i was really excited for artfight but now i just wanna close my account and not do anything

i think AX made me look at my life and how i could do so much better if i just /tried/ but i can't figure out whats wrong with me still. i thought i had solved it when i transitioned but turns out im still broken 🙃
