The very beginning of the training. 5 pairs of bobbins wrapped with cotton thread are draped over 5 pins at the top of a pattern card, which is partially hidden by a purple cloth.
Today's adventure: learning to make bobbin lace! So far, so good, although bobbin management is likely to be my biggest issue.

On a drying rack, two Elizabethan ruffs on the top, with shorter matching cuffs below. A fan on the bottom rungs circulates air to help dry them.
Sticky, sloppy job done. Now to dry until crispy, then dampen and beat into submission with a curling iron.πͺ‘
