TLDR: gendered patterns of political competition strongly shape success rates of women candidates. Sexism may lead to voter abstention in the US.

WEC seeks views on statutory paternity and shared parental leave - Committees - UK Parliament The Women and Equalities Committee (WEC) is today (Friday, 6 December) launching a call for written evidence on statutory paternity and shared parental leave to examine options for reform.

With our first child my husband and I took shared parental leave (SPL) in the UK - it was a great experience, but financially costly.

It shouldn't be that way in my view. So take the opportunity to share your experiences with SPL with the gov. here:

Sadly I don’t have tips - never written a book 😬 but given the big populism/radical right scholarly community in the Netherlands there must be lots of interest I would think!
