It's funny how irrelevant Spotify is to what I do. The biggest record that I have a direct business interest in (Rollins Band - Weight) isn't even on there. And if you judged by our impact there, the scene I'm a part of now doesn't exist.
For me these days it's useful as a thermometer-nothing more

Clearly we have a crisis of overdiagnosis of eye problems requiring expensive and life long medical intervention (glasses). We need to crack down on Specsavers.

What's worrying is that I've heard this "overdiagnosis" line from perfectly rational people, who have been primed to a) be frightened of neurodivergence in their own kids and b) assume everyone else is on the make while they're the sucker playing fair.
