My mom is recovering from surgery and, to cheer her up/torture her (:P), I was looking up how to play the M*A*S*H* theme song which is called "Suicide is Painless" and now everything online is telling me where to get help or seek counseling. It's good that's a thing, but I just want to M*A*S*H*...

I don’t think there’s ever been a forehead worthier of people to softly pelt with sugar packets at random until the person breaks down with “Why is this happening? What is even happening?” than hers, right?

When I first read The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, I realized Ichabod Crane is really the story’s antagonist. Watching the Disney adaptation that I’ve seen at least over 40 times and, realizing just now, all the characters are pretty awful save for Ichabod’s horse.

Watching the “Halloweenie” episode of Pete and Pete and, man, it’s breaking my heart seeing Michelle Trachtenberg.

Still one of the best Halloween specials any show has ever made!

So much for looking forward to that new Mass Effect game….

I will be happy to resubscribe to Disney+/Hulu and buy tickets to see Mandalorian and Grogu when Disney shows it can stand up to fascism. Until then? Oh well.

Did you read the novelization? There's a whole bit about Maggie Smith becoming the Dowager of Destiny because her mom was studying dowagers in San Antonio when she was born that could be its own episode of The Young Ones.

My aunt called and my deceased cousin's name came up on the caller ID. I just froze. Almost didn't answer. Mind went blank. Grief hits in such weird ways. #hugyourlovedones

All I'm saying is that Mark Twain loved a good ghost story and would look great posed with Poe ready to solve cases. Also, Ambrose Bierce, a soldier who witnessed some of the worst the Civil War had to offer was known to write a ghost story or two and just straight up vanished, never to resurface...

A friend died a couple of weeks ago, another died last weekend (was on hospice so it was expected, but still), and a loved one is dying. I didn't ask if things could get worse for me, but my insurance emphatically answered as if I did and wow! They sure are experts in the banality of evil...
