I'm wondering if the voting control aspects of the so-called "Save America" act were so toxic and unpopular that the white house felt they had to staple gun the completely unrelated anti-trans bullshit to it after the fact to try and get more support.

2 weeks past the 2nd and final phase of my FFS. I look like a lumpy puffy squirrel from the buccal fat removal & SMAS lift. Some seepage around my ears and I have more time with the chin bra. But I’m starting to see faint traces of it meshing together with the earlier bone work. I’m not unhappy

But I'm in no hurry to get there now. I still look forward to the old woman I shall become, and delight in my changing world and body as I follow a journey that was denied too long.

For someone who spent their teen years and 20's convinced they wouldn't make it to see their 30's, this is a little surreal. There's part of my brain that realizes I'm well past the expiry date I thought I had way back when.

For someone five days out from phase two of FFS (and who REALLY wants to wash her hair), I don't look too bad. Nor do I look too bad for someone who just turned 60 today.

Took my chin bra off for a bit. Not too bad for 48 hours after surgery

I had the second and final phase of my Facial Feminization Surgery today.

The rest of the thesis is pretty dry (unless you LIKE lidar studies of tsunami inundation ruggedness), but I wanted to make sure you saw that.

Achieving my Master's was amazing. Doing it as my true, REAL self was a gift I didn't dare hope for. But I did, and you helped. Thank you.

I started my retransition at 57. It's never too late.

But I did it. And shortly I talk to people at University of Victoria about a possible PhD candidacy.

As I said in my thesis, you helped show me that door could still be opened, it wasn't too late. I literally wouldn't be the woman I am today without your help.

Starting graduate school and one's retransition at the same time is a special kind of insanity. Defending one's thesis 16 days after phase one of FFS (and on TDOR, which didn't escape me, since I asked those who had their journeys cut short to stand with me at my defense), was just one more thing.

@impossiblephd.bsky.social Having successfully defended my Master's thesis and had it approved, there was an acknowledgement in that thesis I wanted to share with you.

My thesis was finalized, approved, and submitted yesterday.

I just got word it was approved by the Graduate School dean.

Now waiting for the formatting editors to finish their report

So we're almost there.....but I am NOT out of the woods yet, and still need help!!

So good news.
HOWEVER. This means my time at CWU and Ellensburg is coming to an end, and I will need help in moving. I need to be out the student apartment no later than December 18th, and will be needing to rent a truck and storage space to bring many of my belongings back to the Seattle Area.
