The main thing, it seems, is that Matt Badlose got a colum out of his experience. You could have just written 'WHAT HAPPENED IS, I LOST, DESERVEDLY'.

Kicked off St David's Day watching Superted's 1980s road safety videos and matching them to their actual locations in Cardiff.

I honestly think the worst idea ever for a feature in newspapers and magazines was the Rich List. Partly because, well, isn’t it obvious, but it sort of ushered in The List as a feature idea in its own right.

I think it's telling re: Bernard's vocal that the 83 instrumental was considered fine for Substance. (I've never minded his voice on it, personally. It's Subculture where they really could have had another go.)

Mute always seemed faultless to me with distribution.

Is Bernard saying 'Fuckin' Housemartins' at the end of that re-recorded Confusion?

I gather that Bernard hated his original vocal on Confusion (which is probably why it's in a different key). I'm not sure I know the reason for remaking Temptation.

I bought Power Corruption and Lies from Woolworths quite early on, not realising at that stage that Blue Monday wasn't going to be on it.

Oh actually I have to say I adored the Substance package. Had all the geekery of release dates, but it was all quite stylish and minimalist. And yet it was an imperfect/perfect compilation (wrong versions, mislabelling, and I never liked the Confusion remake, for instance).

That True Faith typeface is really bugging me, because it isn't quite right. it's like a bootleg T-shirt company is doing it.
