It mostly falls into SE makes boring combat system, but that' me. You're right, it's not my cup of tea to look at a blue line for 2h just to kill a boss 🤣

I think the grid was the one good thing that was making sense.

But character développement is not something we see very often in JRPG and FF9 still top tier in that matter.

I must admit, I hesitated between FF8 and Mystic Quest...

I must admit, it has not aged well.
I replay it now and then and there is always something new annoying me, but it's one of the well written story thought.

I've never been able to finish FF12, everything about it so annoying, system and story 😮‍💨 But one day, I'll give zodiac age a go, we'll see if it really make it better.

Yeah, the mama's boy get all the attention. And SE doesn't realise they are bad at making action combat system... I mean imo 😅

FF8 has an annoying system. I often drop my playthrough because of the drawing/junction, but it has a great story. I like it, but I don't always finish it 🤭

9 is great, but it has not aged that well.
