The laundry that remained without cat hair for a solid 25 seconds.
Wasn’t using that hand for things.
My eternally jet lagged self enjoys the time in a schadenfreude sort of way because it lets me remind my parents that it’s like this, times 6, every few weeks, and times 14 every few months, and that’s why I don’t visit as often as they’d like.
I am trying to paint. Someone has decided I’m painting standing up today.
Yesterday: 55 degrees F (13 C).
Today: 17 degrees F (-8 C)
Guess which day the heat stopped working?
The cat? Doesn’t care. With that much fur, why would she?

In Germany for work, enjoying a rare sunny day and my first Weinschorle of the season on my day off. The sun actually feels warm on my skin. I have missed that more than I realized.
Very dramatic ice world this morning, which I’m fairly certain calls for a nice potato/onion soup.
I’m trying to figure out a good balance. Been (mostly) taking a break from social media in general, but I do agree— there are folks I just do not want to lose touch with and I need to figure that out.
The old masters would enjoy this reference material. Ridiculous cat.

Also? This cat is very cute and soothes the soul.
I have a self-preservation practice of ‘no news before noon.’ This helps with the struggle between being well informed and staying sane…but only if I actually do it.
