For clarity: 1 year = about 12-13 packs, 4 weeks each.
But one week in each pack is placebo pills, to help keep the routine, while a withdrawal bleed (not period) happens.
So each is really 3wks.

Skipping those 12 placebo weeks = need 12 more = 4 extra packs.

At least it's cheap/free, for now...

It's used for other purposes too, but: it's generally safe to take oral BC continuously (just the active pills) & skip the withdrawal bleeding. I've known people who suffered needlessly for *decades*!

It's also complicated to get the 4 "extra" packs; I've never even seen one without a placebo week.

I was delighted when I learned about "chip clips" for programming – so much fun to use! (As long as you can get 'em on... otherwise, hatred and agony :D )

Okay, THIS is a use of UV printing on PCBs that I find aesthetically compelling. 🤩

Almost everything is greyscale. A person with shoulder-length hair, glasses, and a downturned mouth looks at a machine. It has a big red "PRESS" button and a red telephone receiver. Panel 2: Handset at their ear, they press the button; it speaks, "you're valuable". Panel 3: They pause, hand lifted, receiver at ear, looking at the machine; they look surprised and perhaps a little less unhappy. Panel 4: Eyes closed, they kneel on the floor by the machine, cradling the receiver. They've duct-taped the button down; through a quasi-umbilical red cable, the receiver continues to whisper "you're valuable" over and over.

Ooo, yeah, the fingerprints are real... I sometimes use clear nail polish as a coating, but that definitely doesn't scale!
