I mostly say this bc I don't really like how the compass takes up a slot in your crests. Maybe just keep the compass and quill as purchases but they're just permanently on once you get them?

I still think purchasing the maps, markers, icons, etc. is still fun though and should remain!

Ik it's probably a conscious design decision as well but I do think that the compass (and quill purchase by extension) should just be innate. Ik there's the heavy emphasis on exploration and tracking yourself on the map while exploring, but it does feel a lil dated.

I think there was only one boss I actively did not like, including the runback to it, but otherwise even the ones I did get stuck on for 1-2+ hrs I did really enjoy!

I could definitely feel my skill level increasing as the game progressed.

I think I might play Nine Sols next.

imo the 2 dmg attacks even early game I was fine with bc of the design change to healing; being able to do it mid-air and heal for 3 instead of hold for 1 at a time, was an interesting change of pace and I adapted, I think just being able to do it mid-air was a major game changer period.

Intros for certain fights could be trimmed down a lil more on retries, sometimes even the ones that did get trimmed down still felt a lil too long.

Just a lot of minor things that kind of add up.

I enjoyed the experience overall though, I couldn't pull myself away, wanted to keep going back.

Bench placements could use a lil adjusting, certain runbacks were fine, some other ones were rough. It def felt like they wanted benches this time around to feel more earned rather than given, but to have to earn the boss fight too after each attempt was a rough decision lol.

bc I dashed in too close I'd take dmg from touching the boss.

Bigger boss bodies is more acceptable but some of these instances were just downright dumb lmao

adding grinding into a game like this just didn't feel right or good, it felt like a chore to go out of my way to do even if it could be quick.

I think that contact dmg on stunned bosses was BS lmao. At the very least don't make it 2 dmg, I would get frustrated that I'd stun a boss, dash in and--

I won't get into plot spoilers bc my issues were general stuff but basically;

Wasn't a big fan of the dual currency system, primarily didn't like the requirement of shells for tools. Sure there are optimized routes for grinding rosaries/shells (or at least to spend on the consumables) but--

Coming from someone that playthrough HK after all the DLC was out, I do foresee something like a Lifeblood DLC coming to Silksong would really help as far as adjustments go. QoL, balancing, etc.
