@mikevorkunov.bsky.social was in the NYC courtroom for Chauncey Billups’ arraignment today and caught this incredible moment: www.nytimes.com/athletic/683...

Oregon State football coaching candidate arrives in Portland, but won’t say why Did the Beavers' next head coach just land at PDX?

If he was here to visit wineries or hike Neahkahnie Mountain, he would have said that.

My gut says it's too late in the process for a new candidate to get involved. There's so much to like about Justin though.

I loved the PDX carpet Blazers uniforms the first time around but this year kinda hate them. Can't totally figure out why. Might be because the look was a fun and novel concept during a crummy season and bringing them back during a page-turning season reminds of the bad vibes. Still considering...

Just got home and saw the news that Portland State fired Bruce Barnum. Necessary, but only the first of many steps needed to turn things around on the Park Blocks. Funding and a downtown facility are the key.

Lane Kiffin could learn a lot from Dan Lanning | Bill Oram As Oregon's coach once again affirms his loyalty, another star of college coaching wrestles with a decision that is, frankly, absurd.

Oregon wins again and Dan Lanning says you’ve got to be able to appreciate what you have.

Hello, Lane Kiffin, are you listening?

if a doink doinks in the doinks but is erased by a leaping penalty did it really doink?

The fourth and 1 call was clever. Might have been better just to hand it off. They were averaging over five yards a carry.

Before Bobby Hauck, the last Montana football coach to lose to the Bobcats five times in seven years was...

Just kidding. It's never happened.

Jack Swarthout lost four times in seven years and Larry Donovan lost four times in six.

Just a spectacularly weird half of football. A whopping 133 yards of penalties, an Oregon punt return TD, a linebacker TD and each team's kicker with a DOINK. Amazing.

Oregon 28, USC 14

Ducks must be trying to ensure Boettcher does every job on campus before he leaves. What's next, UO president for a day?

Direct snap to Bryce Boettcher for the touchdown. Sure, why not?

Ducks: 6 plays, 65 yards. TD. Easy work by Dante Moore and his playmakers. Big plays by McClellan, Benson, Davison.

That was a wake-up call drive by USC to start the game. 75 yards in 11 plays. 7-0. Ducks turn to answer.

Blazers are so undergunned that they had no business being in that game anyway… But second time in barely a week that they’ve given up a game-winning 3 at the buzzer.

We still have no idea how good the Oregon Ducks are or what any of this means | Bill Oram Oregon is 9-1 but only three of those wins have come against FBS opponents with winning records.

Oregon cruised against Minnesota and I have no idea how to put the blowout in proper context β€” because this is a season sorely missing critical context. www.oregonlive.com/sports/2025/...

The Viks problems run much deeper than coaching, but it’s staggering how bad Bruce Barnum’s tenure has been. Of 265 D1 head coaches, only 24 have had their jobs as long or longer, and of those only ONE has a worse winning %.

Any school serious about football would have made a change years ago.

The Vikings are returning to Providence Park, but is Portland State football even worth saving? | Bill Oram Ann Cudd, in her third year as PSU's president, said the Vikings one-game return to its longtime home signals that the school is ready to get serious about football.

With one of the worst-funded and least successful programs in Division 1, what is the value proposition of football at Portland State? And what is the path to getting the benefits of football that other schools enjoy?

I sat down with PSU’s president to discuss:
