My technique tends to be similar! I do start with a sketch at first though (often pretty vague) and then paint before adding lines at the end!

I’ve created many artworks that looked terrible during the process. I used to get discouraged and frustrated, but I’ve learned to look at them and instead go „oh well, it can’t get worse, so let’s just do whatever”. Funny enough, with the pressure gone, they tend to end up looking decent!

I’ve tried it before and I liked it but the main hurdle for me is all the setup it requires! I have acrylic gouache (it’s matte acrylic) and it’s lovely but it’s hard to squeeze the right amount of paint and not waste it (once dry, it’s gone) and cleanup is a lot. I wanna try regular gouache again.
