We don’t know the identity or motive of the shooter but murder can *never* be the response to political disagreements.
I am deeply disturbed by the shooting in Utah. Doug and I send our prayers to Charlie Kirk and his family.
Let me be clear: Political violence has no place in America. I condemn this act, and we all must work together to ensure this does not lead to more violence.

there’s this very american idea that everything we do to fight facism must be “productive” and “results-driven” in order for it to be meaningful as if the act of calling out injustice is not worthwhile on its own.
I think about how deeply insulting it is to the Republican voters who turned up at their respresentatives' town halls to voice concerns to be labeled as paid protestors and Democrat rabble rousers. May the idiocracy continue to idiot.
