I'm terrible with social media at the moment... But this morning my dog Artemis and I visited Fitzroy Gardens here in Melbourne and it was a beautiful start to our Sunday πͺ»π»πΌπ©·
My Artemis is definitely NOT a morning dog π€£π€£π€£
My new mug brings me so much joy π
How my day started -> how I wish it was going π€£
I've been in back to back meetings today (which should be illegal on a Friday) and having to listen to Chewie (who's visiting for the day) snoring in the sunshine nearby is definitely a mood πΆ
I was, however, willing to suspend my disbelief at this for the sake of moving the story forward.
4.5 stars ββββπ
I do note that there were a couple of scenes/scenarios that didn't quite read right to me, primarily an accident and the character's apparent rapid recovery from this accident which would be months and months of healing, probable multiple surgeries and physiotherapy if this happened in real life.
Mason and Silas are both secretive characters by nature, and are involved in something inherently dangerous, inherently evil, and shady AF. They take the reader on quite the journey, and I'm already eagerly anticipating the next book.
4. The way the environment and atmosphere in which the characters live is practically a character if its own.
This is true of all of her books and is again very evident in Man of Lies, the second book in the Vendetta Kings series.
2. The way she build these MC's love for one another, and how this love lifts the MCs to be better men;
3. The way she weaves mystery with romance, and keeps you, the reader, on your toes; and,
Things I love about Parker St. John:
1. The way she creates MC's who are flawed, are aware of their flaws, and work to change these flaws into something positive;
I tell anyone who asks that this is the best thing Iβve ever written because everyone who helped me left a piece of themselves in it. Mia beta read and helped me do the hard thing at the end. Iβll always be grateful. If you read this, youβll carry these characters and our hearts with you as well.
This beautiful, beautiful book ππ₯Ή
I've waited five years to be able to get a copy of this in paperback. I'm SO happy @ksterlingbooks.bsky.social has released it, and look how stunning the cover is ππ
It was such a lovely weekend, managed to get to the beach yesterday with the dogs for what is probably the last time for this extended Melbourne summer

I love this book by @ksterlingbooks.bsky.social with all my heart; I'm so excited that it's been re-released!
I had the joy of beta reading the original (you can blame me for *that* scene later in the book) & have always, always hoped it would become so many more reader's new favourite book.
A solid 5 star read for me, I'll be chuckling away to myself for quite some time at some of Brad's musings and puns. βββββ
(And I'll never be able to look at any Greg the same way π€£π€£π€£)

The puns, the banter, the swings & misses, the joy, sometimes the sheer ridiculousness of Brad's gym-bro golden retriever enthusiasm was so much fun to read. I felt happy the whole time I was reading this, & it can be such a precious gift that an author is able to engage the reader in such a way.
10 Ways to Accidentally Fall in Love by @emmysanders.bsky.social has kept me happily rugged up on my sofa today, fully swept up in the dance of love that is Joey and Brad.
I was equally charmed, entertained, delighted and in fits of laughter reading their love story.
Is there anything better than spending your Sunday reading the type of book that when you get to the end of it, you want to go straight back to the beginning and start reading it all over again?
Clive Palmer's present saturation of print, radio and television media explicitly expressing his political view that βthere are only two gendersβ is a violation of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984.

I can feel the corduroy of the orange/brown sofas, smell the librarian's perfume & sense the magic of all words & worlds built housed within. It was a safe place. If I could be go back in time to a single place, that library would be at the top of my list.
Libraries are important. Never forget that
I often think about the primary school library from when I was a kid. It was such a special place and even 40+(!) years later, I can still see exactly where all my favourite books waited for me on the shelves and can visualise pulling them out, examining their cover and taking them to be checked out
Is there anything better than petspam and tiny visitors?
Is there anything better than sunrise at the local dog beach? ππΎπ
Is there anything better than a three day weekend?
How about dog beach mornings and Kindle afternoons binging on an Adriana Nash dark MM romance πΆπππ²π§π½ββοΈπ
Just THE worst π
Artie hated every minute of it π«Ά
Puppysat today.
It was awful.
No real work got done.
Just look at all this horrid.
