I'm going to embarrass myself here: I use a controller. I had jock parents and had to buy my own gaming gear, couldn't afford a gaming PC, got too used to the controller. And I'm inverted. Sh.
asmon is such a great test case on this actually. used to be a FFXIV streamer and grinder hardcore but got booted from the community for toxicity which is what predicated the pivot! he doesn't really game anymore and when he does, it's clear he's neither skilled nor enjoying what he's doing

I think this is actually a function of how the ragebait industry has changed! You can't make a living just ragebaiting about CoD being ass anymore. You have to ragebait about EVERYTHING, from marvel movies to disney shows to nintendo games. You don't have *time* to grind at FPSes or really any games
