Research shows how important it is for children to see themselves in books, so we're pleased that there has been some progress.
However, it's clear that there is still a lot of work to be done to improve representation in children's books.

It's an honour to have made the list alongside talented authors, illustrators and organisations who, like us, are dedicated to children's literature and literacy.
Such a great day welcoming teachers from LKS2 to @theclpe.bsky.social yesterday for a jam-packed CPD session focused on developing young writers. As well as unlocking all of the research, we found our own writing inspiration in Luke Pearson’s wonderful world of Hilda! @flyingeyebooks.bsky.social
