Anyway in both instances I have raised this and you would think that they would say oh yeah you're the creative your eye is properly trained to understand these nuances!

Nope lol just get overruled and they have to make the change later anyway b/c usually someone will also point out the mistake...

Different person same issue...they thought that the lighter outlines being used in a character's hair were highlights vs a stylistic animation choice

They also thought that the skin colored opening on a shoe was a skin colored closed toe shoe vs understanding that in animation they simplify details

They pull up an image again showcasing what I have pointed out...those are not nostrils and they're typically green/turquoise

But they didn't see it as green because the image was SO SMALL and instead of finding better reference they decided they were nostrils and grey...

Lol ok

Working corporate w/ wanna be designers is SO interesting..

I get a call to tell me that the nostril detail on a helmet should be grey not green b/c they've just decided it was grey even though historically and on the show it's been a green color

...The detail in question isnt nostrils its eyes

I really dont like when people take a critique out of context because they lack the understanding of what the original critique was....

i’m so happy kpop demon hunters has done so well for a lot of reasons, but the main one is that it’s primarily marketed toward girls and women. girls and women’s media can be extremely profitable and it is absolutely worth fully investing in, and any executive who thinks it’s not is an idiot

Some people just seem to want to eliminate all potential sources of discomfort, no matter how small or innocuous, from their lives. Fiction allows you to model experiencing big emotions in a safe controlled setting, and I just don't think any good comes of avoiding that to this degree

If you've ever felt like the walls are closing in on LGBTQ and adult creators: call your payment processors.

Finally, there's a coordinated action, a chance to actually push back, but it *has* to be in this present window of time, while the attention is on the issue and the iron is hot.

Like most people, I grew up believing luddite meant "regressive" or "anti-technology" but actually the luddites were professionals, artisans and craftspeople, and they were upset about machines taking away not just their jobs, but also the art of the work they produced. Sound familiar?

Lest you forget that many CEOs are more than willing to fire you and replace you with a shoddy AI model with sociopathic glee, here are the words of one such executive at the forefront of displacing human labor.
"CEOs are extremely excited about the opportunities that AI brings," Elijah Clark, a chief executive who advises other head honchos on using AI at their companies, told Gizmodo in an interview. "As a CEO myself, I can tell you, I'm extremely excited about it. I've laid off employees myself because of AI."
"AI doesn't go on strike. It doesn't ask for a pay raise," he added, parroting cliched talking points, much like a certain over-hyped technology. "These things that you don't have to deal with as a CEO."
