A scenic hike to the natural arch called the Vat of Kirbister. One of the highlights of Orkney Scotland that I took my friend visiting from Canada to see.

A beautiful calm lake with a nice reflection of the green pines and puffy cloud sky. This is not the lake I backfloated in, mine had much more fall color but the neighbors pontoon was in my picture so this one’s better. I do like a good back float.

Veggies simmering in some chili crisp, coconut aminos, ginger, garlic and a slash of sesame oil. Will add noodles.

I love that Lavatera is so easy to plant from seed. Tattered but strong, they managed to hold up in the strong Orkney winds. On my list to grow again next year!
