Anyway, first game syndrome aside, this game whips ass. When I hear Going Commando was greenlighted months before this came out because playtesters liked this so much, I believe them.

It helps Insomniac was experienced by this point, but still, it's an incredible first attempt nonetheless.

Also as someone who thought the remake was fine, I'm still bitter we lost the snowy planet in the transition because it's one of my favorite levels in the game on a visual and game play level

Which is impressive because usually the hydrodisplacer and the ice physics on slopes would be a turn off

Decided to skip a few weapons in Ratchet 1 until I got the Persuader/get the 8-hit health bar ASAP and I went from getting my teeth kicked on by fighter jets with missiles to basically steamroller everything because I can actually tank a few hits now.

Double health does wonders for this game.
