after seeing Chris Gethard on stage this week, i finally watched “one man’s trash” and it’s one of the most remarkable pieces of live television i’ve ever seen. somehow years of hype did not diminish the payoff.

This is far from the most violent or horrific image to have come out of Minneapolis, but this one has hit me particularly hard.

The kid reminds me so much of my sons at that age. I feel vaguely nauseated when I look at it. A very powerful mix of rage and sadness.

It's a devastating photo.

It would be awesome if anyone in a position of authority (looking at you congress) stood up and called this what it is. Stop appeasing. Stop turning the temperature down. Stop thinking they will stop this assault of their own volition.
