How is it that they dropped Kershaw from the roster and yet didn't become any more likeable?

Watched The Secret Agent last night ahead of the Oscars and it's a very worthy Best Picture nominee. Highly recommend this excellent review by @daniellamazzio.bsky.social discussing the importance of the arts and humanities as "an essential vanguard of resistance". All too relevant to the US today.

If you see this, post a vampire that isn't Dracula.

I mean if they're going to just flat out be Bond villain-level evil monsters, could they at least not be such absolute losers completely lacking in self-awareness?

Susanna sounded great and told wonderful stories. Love that she had Psycho Killer queued up on her phone to play! I saw you walk by at one point but sadly didn't have a chance to say hello.

You can tell they are starting to realize how badly this is going for them by the fact that this slimy weasel doesn’t show his trademark smirk once in this clip.

I’m sure an upstanding gentleman like Ken Paxton will go quietly and not make trouble for Trump and the party.

I can’t believe this all began with Trump and Little Marco comparing dick sizes.

A Bloomberg News article with the headline “Trump Worries Iranian Leaders Could Be Just ‘as Bad’ After War”, which quotes Trump saying “I guess the worst case would be, we do this, and then somebody takes over, who’s as bad as the previous person, right? That could happen”. This could word for word be a satirical article from The Onion.

Is Bloomberg News channeling @theonion.com?

Interesting that he took over for the actor who played the villain opposite him in "Never Say Never Again".

LOL I thought maybe 60 Minutes blocked me but it turns out they got ratioed so badly that they had to delete the skeet that referenced ‘nuclear weapons’ and change it to ‘nuclear program’.

David Ellison is a loser nepo-baby, Bari Weiss is a right wing hack, and Iran does not have nuclear weapons.

Also prompted me to rewatch this. Buddy's having an absolute blast and he's the coolest guy on the stage just nudging out Keefer.

Buddy Guy: Tiny Desk Concert With a little help from his Sinners co-star Miles Caton, the near-nonagenarian legend gives the Tiny Desk a history lesson in the blues.

Yes everything is still awful, but for a little bit of self-care here's something great: Buddy Guy's new NPR Tiny Desk Concert. Watched Sinners last week and loved his small part in it so it's great to watch him perform alongside Miles Caton.

My completed Immaculate Grid for today, featuring Bobby Shantz on the top right. Thought I would've gotten a lower RS score for Steve Rogers...

Fun fact: Bobby Shantz the 1952 AL MVP, is still with us and turned 100 last fall

And after he had missed most of the previous two seasons in Korea. Still hit .345 and finished 7th in the MVP vote at age 35.

Such a nice sunny day after such a miserable winter that I decided to go to the beach for a walk. One of my better recent calls. A LOT of dog owners had the same idea, and their pups all looked ecstatic to be there. 🐶
