30.10.2025 15:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It isn't 55,000 sq ft any more, is it?
23.10.2025 13:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Did he promise to preserve anything of historic value?
20.10.2025 21:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0He may be taking the first steps alone, but he'll probably gain lots of company along the way. Perhaps even a throng as he arrives in DC. Suddenly thinking of the Bonus Marchers back in Hoover's day for some reason, even though it is a very different story.
10.10.2025 22:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0WTF does Qatar need Air Force facilities in Idaho? Or is it essentially joint training facility not unlike numerous others? Meanwhile, Israel recently bombed Qatar & Trump (1st term) labeled them "terrorist" and IIRC there was a blockade for a little while. Let's check with Winston Smith on that.
10.10.2025 14:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is the problem with lawyers and science. Science addresses questions with an open mind. Lawyers have a position to advocate for, then do anything they can to support it. Very different. I watched some of the OJ Simpson trial to see how science fared in court. Wasn't very good.
09.10.2025 22:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Earthships. We've learned to take all our visitors there. Everybody loves them!! Just off HWY 64, a mile or 2 west of the high bridge.
09.10.2025 19:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0His eyes are getting different. Distant. Reminds me of how Biden got. Been noticing it the past few weeks.
09.10.2025 18:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0At least Pete's not a New Yorker. Chuck & Hakeem actually vote in this election themselves. In normal times, they'd show up at rallies. Now? Would it even be helpful?
09.10.2025 00:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hey Pete -- Could you have a little chat with Schumer & Jeffries about supporting the mayoral nominee in New York? They are, metaphorically, spitting on their own voters. No respect, so maybe they don't deserve any respect back, eh?
08.10.2025 22:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Subscriber only article. Have they got a "gift" option?
30.09.2025 16:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0He will claim, before Halloween, that he has ended another "war." You know, the one between Portland & Vancouver across the Columbia River. Worse than the Hatfields & McCoys, dontcha know?
30.09.2025 16:09 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm motivated to write multiple places. MSNBC had a story but it was just a link to making comments on a website. Likely to be read by AI only, if that. At least somebody has to open an envelope. (Or do they?)
19.09.2025 22:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Where did you write to? I've been wondering about addresses - I'd be glad to write some, too. Different kind of story, of course, but as a kid I used to watch Star Trek on NBC back in the 60s. Big letter writing campaign got them a 3d season after they were cancelled.
19.09.2025 20:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0They should be showing more respect for their voters. Why don't they see that?
15.09.2025 00:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Each tower got its own roll. I took the #1/2/3 to work down the west side. To get to S Tower elevators, had to walk across bank of escalators from PATH disgorging mobs of NJ commuters. Amazing how nobody ever bumped into each other. I love the magic of Grand Central Station for that same reason.
12.09.2025 00:31 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The state of NY, back then, had mandatory recycling. The contrast between public and private floors was notable. Fun fact: The two towers had two dedicated zip codes. Also, when very windy, doors would sway on their own & there were weird howling noises as building absorbed the stress.
11.09.2025 23:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I wish I'd kept it. It was an object, like a double rolodex. I had a custom Lucite base made down on Canal street as well as engraved plaque. I still have the negatives.
11.09.2025 23:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Used to work 96th fl, S tower, in the 80s. Chewed gum to keep ears from popping on the express elevator. I did a project, photographing every floor, both towers, at freight elevators. I spent a lot of time in those stairwells. I was thinking how long it takes to get from top to bottom on foot
11.09.2025 23:13 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wondering if Dershowitz included the value of that car as income on his taxes? And if the many gifts over the tax-free limit had the proper gift tax paid?

09.09.2025 16:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I would never go to a lawyer for medical advice. (Especially not this one.) Too bad RFK hasn't gone after environmental issues like microplastics or pesticides for which pollution he actually has some job experience.
08.09.2025 21:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Where I live, USPS doesn't deliver to street address. Most algorithms don't let you pick shipper when ordering. Roulette. So about 1/3 of online orders are returned "undeliverable" - so wasteful. With AI, you won't have a human available for help. It will only get worse for some of us. All of us?
14.08.2025 21:10 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In the 80s & 90s, virtually all NYC apartments were rent stabilized. IIRC, anything with more than 4/5 units or so. There must still be a few rent controlled units left even now. Has Cuomo EVER rented? This is so out of touch!! (Unless things have changed a lot since my years in the city.)
14.08.2025 20:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hard to be optimistic with the near-universal "we'll get to it later" attitude about climate. Other problems are more important, always, dontcha know?
13.08.2025 12:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Kendall Scudder just was on my TV saying recent Texas floods had the highest flood death toll in American history. Get your facts straight, dude! You don't have to make shit up. Most deadly of the century, or even millenium (so far.) But NOT in US history.
