I remember when the ‘06 changes were added to Disneyland’s Mansion, floating Leota was an instant hit, while Constance was almost universally disliked. Many fans lamented the loss of the heartbeat bride and her pop-up grooms, with some going so far as to create petitions to change the attic back.

Disneyland is supposed to be a place that’s fun and inviting, and the haunted mansion is supposed to be eerie and spooky, not horrifying. And besides, this gives them an opportunity to put in something better or more impressive — and I’m excited to see what that could be.

Regarding the hanging man discourse in Haunted Mansion… I think it’s a legitimate idea to remove something that could potentially pull some people out of what is supposed to be a fun experience.

I know people will be cynical and think they’re just covering their butts, but I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and believe that it actually was a placeholder while they work on something else hand-made. (And that timelines just didn’t line up to have everything ready on time). Thoughts?

I think the interview with Irvine gave us a bit of a peek behind the curtain as to how decisions are made for parks. The comment about how merchandising would have wanted the shop to be bigger and the defense for the AI art…

Starting tonight through Dec. 14, Disneyland Paris will mark the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral with “Disney ♥️Notre-Dame de Paris," a new pre-show at Disneyland Park featuring drones, fireworks, and projections. Notre Dame Cathedral is set to reopen to the public on Dec. 8.
