Last week, the Georgian Prosecutor's Office summoned the director of our Georgian counterpart for questioning, under entirely unfounded accusations.

This move is politically motivated, and the latest assault by the Georgian government on democracy.

We have colleagues at AMAN-Transparency Palestine (Transparency International Palestine) who remain in Gaza with their families and are experiencing chronic hunger and dehydration, in unimaginably dire conditions.. As a global movement committed to fighting for a world without corruption, we believe that everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and to live safely and freely in their country. We stand with our colleagues across the region and support calls for an immediate ceasefire, the opening of all land crossings, and the free and safe flow of humanitarian aid through UN-led mechanisms. We are also appealing for the urgent release of all remaining hostages.

1/3 Last Friday, as part of our Climate Governance Integrity Programme #CGIP, we hosted a workshop at @umwelthilfe.bsky.social in Berlin – bringing together civil society experts and journalists to exchange insights on #ClimateIntegrity.

Parliament must take responsibility for its own funds and recover any misused funds. It must also investigate whether further rules were breached, and refer any criminal matters to the European Public Prosecutor's Office.

This comes as no surprise, given that the European Parliament has delegated management of finances to political groups (with little to no oversight) who are often embroiled in fraud themselves.

Yet more allegations of the far right misusing EU funds have surfaced. This time, it's about far right groups in the European Parliament circumventing procurement rules to funnel EU cash to friendly businesses and organisations.
