"Oh, I wonder what happened to this composer whose work I used to like - checks online - oh, new work - an album - what's this? Controversy? Transphobia? Supports who?" FFS. Wankers.

As a Brighton fan, can I say that this would be absolutely hysterical! The chaos would be something wonderful to behold.

The German figure is taken from a 2020 survey... the UK figure from 2026 (and based on a military force half the siz).

Worth noting that Basket Case was the one in easy reach so I ended up with a LOT of those...

Not at Audience Selection the market research company with a lot of paperwork to be dumped you wouldn't - but at the random warehouse with stashes of Zombi 2 (real shark vs zombie) and Driller Killer you would!

In the early 90s, at work, I used to deposit paper records in a warehouse. Someone had an area filled with confiscated videos and you could worm your fingers under the mesh walls and drag out pristine copies of Cannibal Ferox, Evil Dead and Basket Case. VHS gold-dust.

Well that's what I'm wondering - see how he does up to the end of the season before dipping into the transfer funds.

I wonder if yesterday was a sign not of a lack of strategic thinking but the opposite - keeping the powder dry and money in the bank for a big re-fit in the summer.

Judging by the first two episodes, they are reassuringly unwatchable.

Bovino needs to be careful about what comes out of the aircon in that lovely new office they're going to give him...

I came to the Sci-Fi stuff quite late - I really enjoy it - it's conceptually dense, and has a wry sense of humour running through it... GIve it a go if you can stomach the genre.

Just tried the same thing with the first book I spotted: "When the Iridian ships fell upon the Orbitals, the Culture was still mostly reminding itself how to build warships; the few war carft and militarised Contact ships it was able to put in the way of the attacks were swept aside."

I mean obviously I recognised the quote - KK - and just thought it might be a bit convenient!

Oh, it really was about Dennis - he was a huge character (and had a wicked wit) and admitted that he was trying to be 'historically accurate' - he left that to museums. He wanted to create experiences - which he certainly did!

That film is all about Flow! On the other hand the seond half of The Brutalist might have been livened up with the odd fire alarm...

19.01.2026 13:24 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Okay - make more use of the possibility of the intermission (as they did with the Brualist) and sell us tons of tea and cake in the break... Having said that a break in One Battle would have ruined the film (as would too much cake)... No easy answer
